Mosaic Basics The Direct Method
I know you have been just itching to break something! Lets get started!
This class is designed to teach the basics of mosaic construction. During this 4-part course, you will learn the Direct Method of mosaic construction. We will cover the basics of materials, tools, cutting methods, and applications. Each student will complete their choice of a 16 Round or Square mirror frame. The skills acquired in this class can be applied to limitless mosaic projects both indoors and out.
You will learn all you need to getting started in this fun, and I have to warn you, ADDICTIVE art form.
There is no artistic or design experience necessary to enroll in this class. Design ideas will be available but students are encouraged to bring their own Ideas and Imaginations! If you have some broken or unbroken china or other items that you would like to incorporate into you project, please feel free to bring it along!

Architectural Mosaics using the Mesh Method
Are you dreaming of a beautiful mosaic backsplash or floor insert? This is the class for you! During this 2 day intensive course students will learn how to create mosaics on fiberglass mesh that can be transferred into art pieces or building applications. We will cover the basics of materials, tools, cutting methods, and applications. In addition we will discuss suitable substrates and materials for both interior and exterior applications and transferring large projects from your studio to installation. Each student will complete an 8 x 20 house number, sign or design of their choice that can later be framed or installed. Ideas will be provided, but student are encouraged to bring ideas and Imaginations.
Refreshments will be included. Please bring a bag lunch!
